Vladimir Ramirez is a technology executive and global business leader with 25 years of experience leading technology businesses and helping the world's largest financial institutions execute technology-driven transformation.

He most recently served as Head of the Banking Vertical for the Americas at Ab Initio Software, an enterprise technology company focused on serving global Fortune 500 organizations. In that role, he led the company's banking business, partnering with senior technology and business executives, including from global systemically important banks (G-SIBs), to shape technology strategy, navigate organizational change, and drive enterprise transformation. These partnerships spanned initiatives in generative artificial intelligence (AI) and agentic AI adoption, cloud modernization, data ecosystem modernization, regulatory platforms, payments, and hyperpersonalization.

Throughout his career, he has worked with the world's largest financial institutions across more than 30 countries, delivering enterprise software and technology solutions at global scale. Earlier in his career, he held global revenue and operating leadership roles at Surecomp and Banktrade, expanding enterprise software businesses across North America, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, and founded and led a technology venture that helped establish a technology free trade zone.

He has also advised early-stage startups on go-to-market strategy, co-founded a start-up competition in Paris, and supported technology entrepreneurship programs in Latin America.

Ramirez holds an MBA ’12 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management and an Executive Master’s Degree ’18 from École Polytechnique, Paris, with an emphasis on technology, science, and innovation. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and French and is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
